Darek Zabrocki is a Polish freelance concept artist and illustrator living in Gdańsk, Poland. Over the past few years, he’s worked for a good deal of reputable companies such as Blur Studio, Framestore, and Ubisoft. Zabrocki made the transition from hobbyist to professional in 2007, when he decided to try working in the digital medium. As an artist, he continues to explore different software and processes, and that helps him create a diverse portfolio – allowing him to showcase a wide range of skills and abilities. Time after time, he’s shown us that he’s an artist who’s willing to step into the unknown, even after he’s perfected a personal style.

Crystal Kung About Colors and Feelings

Crystal Kung started to draw when she was a child. She was born in Xi’an, China, but was raised in Taipei, Taiwan, where she moved at the age of five. As a young girl, Crystal enjoyed reading art books. During the high school years, drawing became more important to her, and she focused on illustration. After all, high school was the place where she picked the college major. Just like so many of us surrounded by not overwhelmingly appealing urban landscape, she was realizing that more art could help to improve aesthetics, what was making her even more determined.

He Always Wanted to Be an Illustrator

Stavros Damos was born in Thessaloniki, where he studied graphic design at the AAS College of Art & Design. Stavros specializes in illustration, and has been developing a recognizable style since he was in high school. His clients are primarily advertising agencies, publishing houses and magazines. In his spare time, he continues to find new ways of working which helps him to further distinguish from the crowd. His love for the arts is what gives him the strength and fuels the optimism that he holds for the future.

Gareth Coker is a Los Angeles-based composer who received his education at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, studying both composition and film scoring respectively. Having visited and or lived in different countries, Gareth has been influenced by many cultures which have found their place in his music. Since he moved to Los Angeles in 2009, Gareth has worked on various different projects through which he gained a foothold in the industry – with the most notable one being Ori and the Blind Forest.

From Hobbyist to Professional: An Interview With Piotr Jabłoński

Piotr Jabłoński is a self-taught freelance artist based in Białystok, Poland. At first, he was interested in graffiti and street art, but after that he found out about digital art and was infatuated by it. Having attended the Technical University of Białystok, where he studied Architecture and Urbanism, he chose instead to move onto something else and pursue a career in the visual arts. Now, he works as a freelance Concept Artist and Illustrator.

Interview: Pavel Sokov

Pavel Sokov is a freelance artist who was self-taught up until he was twenty-four – at that point, he quit his secure job in marketing, instead choosing to move to California to attend the Watts Atelier of the Arts. Within less than a year, he was commissioned to work on a portrait of Vladimir Putin for Time Person of the Year issue. As of the beginning of this year, he’s working on commissioned portraits of Saudi Arabian royalty which are to hang in the government offices.

He’s go more than six year’s worth of experience working as an artist in the entertainment industry, and has worked as a freelancer as well as in-house at various studios. He has contributed high-end models for cinematic trailers as well as in-game use. He has been working at Naughty Dog as a Senior Character Artist for nearly three years.
