One of them asked him to be an art director on a feature film, and the other was The SPA Studios inviting him to be the lighting supervisor on Klaus (2019). Florian Aupetit je umelecký vedúci a všeobecný 3-D grafik z Francúzska. Momentálne žije v Paríži, kde pracuje pre malé štúdio dizajnu a produkcie Monsieur K s vierou, že sa tam naučí viac o počítačovej animácii, ktorá mu pomôže zrealizovať sen o vytvorení krátkeho animovaného filmu. Počas rozhovoru nám povie, že “Father & Son” je personálnym projektom, na ktorom doteraz pracoval dva roky vo voľnom čase, a že ide o projekt, ktorý je námetom filmu. Samozrejme, premeniť toto na realitu je náročné berúc v úvahu, že pracuje na plný úväzok a digitálnu maľbu sa ešte stále učí. Nejde však už len o fantáziu, potom ako spolu s priateľom dokončili scenár, väčšina scén bola nakreslená a prevedená do ilustrácií. A tak dúfame, že animovaný film uzrie svetlo sveta v blízkej budúcnosti.

Florian Aupetit: Father & Son no Longer Just a Pipe Dream

Florian Aupetit is an Art Director and 3-D Generalist from Paris, France. Currently, he works at a small design and production studio named Monsieur K where he hopes to learn more about CGI to help him realize his dream of creating an animated short. In the interview, he tells us that Father & Son is a personal project he has been developing in his spare time for two years now, and that this is the project he wants to make the short film for. Of course, making this a reality is really tough considering that he has a full-time job and is still learning digital painting. But it is no longer just a pipe dream as him and his friend have finalized a script and most of the scenarios have actually been drawn up and made into illustrations. We hope, in short, that an animated film will be released in the near future.
